Tate sighed as he closed the gate surrounding a local police station and spun around to shoot an arrow at an oncoming undead with ease. He looked at the woman beside him and cracked a smile. "So, how's this for tonight's base? There's firearms, a fence, a corpse to tell all those zombies we mean business... it's not half bad." In truth, Tate was about ready to climb into whatever makeshift bed he could find and cry himself to sleep, but because he was with Alena he wouldn't let himself. It wasn't her fault Olivia was gone - and it wasn't her problem. He had no reason to burden her with it, besides they had bigger worries at the moment, like, for example, would this police station suffice or not? He took a swig of his canteen and offered it to her, "Are you hydrated? I know pissing's hard as hell out there so I mean, if you haven't been drinking much I understand but you need to keep your water intake high. I can't have you getting sick and leaving lil' ol' me alone in the world to fend for myself."

The sun's rays were finally beginning to duck down behind the skyline of the city as Alena approached an appearingly abandoned police station with the one person who managed to stick to her side. The others who had attempted? Well, let's just say that she either ran them off with her lack of faith in their actions or they just flat out couldn't keep up with her. Tate, however, seemed to understand her issues with trusting and relying on him, but she wasn't sure if that would put a damper on their relationship as it ran its course.
Her eyes scanned the building, not seeing many walkers around the perimeter, which was relieving. The inside could go either way - either the police officers all left to patrol the area once the outbreak occurred or everyone decided to blockade themselves inside with the largest supply of donuts known to man.
"I've got water," she stated simply, keeping her gaze ahead of her as she began to move forward. "Looks like we'll be sleeping in jail cells, but at least no one can get us behind those iron bars."
