They drove for about fifteen minutes until they reached the apartment complex. He turned the car off and got out. He put his bag on his back and took out his knife and a gun. "Id be ready for walkers kid" He walked towards the front doors they were open. Thank god mine is on the first floor he thought. The lights were flickering as he walked towards his apartment door. He unlocked it, everything was where he left it surprisingly clean. "Its not much kid but its home"

Everything seems to be from a haunted movie— but the situation isn't far from it. As she comfortably placed her backpack to her back, ready with her scythe, she followed him. Wondering how this place looked like before the outbreak. They stopped when he walked towards a room. It was... Clean. She looked around "Not much? This is probably the best right now." She said a bit happily. She knocked on the windows, seeing if it was durable. She turned to Ryker, "What do we do now?"

"I think I'll want a hot meal... But I'll also want a bath, I think I'll take a bath first. She zipped her bag open, thank god she found a pair of new clothes in the warehouse. She grabbed them and turned to the bathroom quickly. Once inside, she locked the doors and stripped her worn clothes off and went inside the shower. She turned the shower on and immediate cold water ran. She liked her showers cold. A weird fact. She liked how it could wake her. It was the first in a lifetime, ever since the outbreak, she had never took a bath, she was smelly as fuck. She looked at the drain, grime flushed down with blood and water. It was gross. She shampooed herself, soaped and conditioned. All while thinking about her stroke of luck. A warehouse, a new ally, and a bath! It was a real stroke of luck. She finished her bath and turned off the shower. Ianne found a spare towel in one of the cabinets and dried herself, put her clothes on, fixed herself. Once done, she grabbed her worn clothes and went back outside.

Rkyer decided to make a decent meal with what ever food was still good. The freezer had a small chicken in it. A nice chicken dinner sounds nice. He began to spice the chicken it would be nice for the girl to have a decent meal instead of peaches ad fucking granola bars. He put the chicken in the oven and boiled water to make some egg noodles. He saw the girl walking out of the bathroom. "Would you eat canned corn?"

She put her clothes back to her bag, looking to the man with the pan. "Canned corn? Of course!" Everything sounds so good that moment. Corn?! Even better. She put her hand ruffling her hair. This so far had been really good for her. After living off small squirrels, leaves, she might have had a heart attack, if ever she smelled the mere whiff of a roasted cauliflower.

"Ok just making sure, I am making a chicken, noodles and now corn for us. Its going to be a while till the food is done." He went to the small couch and pushed it in front of the door . "That should hold anything or anyone out. They were on the first floor but they were still pretty high up the zombies would have to be pretty agile to get in. "I am not quite sure what to do now."

"We're pretty much set..." She remembered about the camera. Ianne went to her backpack and opened it, grabbing the camera she found. It was in a small box, also can raining a pack of memory cards and film also batteries. She opened the box and took out the Camera very carefully, marveling at it. She turned to Ryker,"Hey, do you know anything about cameras? Maybe some conversation about it." She grinned like a kid at Christmas.

He smiled as she fumbled around with the camera. it was definitely form the warehouse he remembered bringing it in. "Im sorry to say I know nothing about cameras but it is nice that you found something in this world that can bring a smile to your face. I might go take a shower and then maybe you can show me how it works?"

She smiled, "Okay, I'll show you how it works, big brother." She fiddled with the camera more, not noticing how she called him 'big brother'. Not that she noticed much, but still fiddled like a kid. She waited while he showered, revisiting memories, but soon decided to think about it later, as today she was happy enough with her luck. Luck that she found an ally she could depend on, and was nice.

Big brother? Well it didnt phase him as much as he would have thought. I guess the living...the remaining survivors become your new family now. He lost everything....his family years ago...his what would have been fiancé. To have the feeling of someone being close to you was..touching. He smiled at her and walked to the bathroom. He turned the hot water on and stepped in as the water beat against his body. He watched as the dirt slowly fell form his body. He ran his hands through his hair. and sat down. This whole thing was a mess....he was a mess. The thoughts of the dead walking again the visions of his deceased girlfriend walking towards him...not being able to pull that trigger. He sat and began to cry he hasnt been emotionally stable in three years but on the out side he was hard as a rock. He got up and turned the water off. He put on a new pare of jeans and walked out. He was shirtless but who cares

She saw him come out. She smiled, "Had a nice bath?" She asked. Finally, someone she could teach someone her joy. She heard the timer ring, set the camera on the box; she turned off the oven. "The thing's done." She packed the camera back to its box and out it in her bag. Oh well, she guessed they could do it later.

His eyes still red from the tears he walked towards the smiling girl. The timer for the chicken went off. He took it out of the oven. "Still could use another thirty minutes" He put the timer on and added the noodles to the boiled water. "Dinner will be ready in like forty five mins so anything you want to tell me or show me lets do it now." His mood was off now sniffling a bit and taking a seat on the couch.

"Okay then." She said. She took all the way back to her bag and took out the camera. She sat down the floor. "I suspect you at least know how to take a picture." She asked him seriously. The sport of it could get her to a 'drive', but she was patient enough. "You know, just snap it?" she said to him.

He let out a small chuckle "Of course I know how to take a picture. I just don't know much about camera brands or the difference between them and stuff. Had it over i'll take a pic of you" He reached out for the camera with a reassuring look.
